Caddywhack

A friend of a friend's art car. This fancy Cadillac is named Caddywhack. He's a welder so the car has tons of welding on it. The porthole fins are metal.

Sunset Over Anaheim California

We had an amazing Sunset tonight, partially due to a tropical storm, and also brushfires.

Laguna Lake

I really miss living in San Luis Obispo CA. This is Laguna Lake. It's a great place to hang out and write, or go hiking, or feed the ducks or take the kids to the playground.

Happy 4th of July Suspenders and All

My holiday plans were cancelled, so I cheered my self up by dressing for the 4th of July anyway. So though I may have gone no further than my back yard, at least I got some cool photos out of it.

Shooting a Bow

I've always loved this photo of my son-in-law shooting this bow

I wish I had some followers for this blog. I know there are tons of photo blogs and they have followers, so why don't I? I have tons of followers on Flickr, but can't lure them over here. What's a girl to do. It's hard to tell if anyone is even looking at my posts. I need to make sure I have a counter.

Spider Plant Baby

This offshoot of my spider plant is ready to pot up and become it's own plant.

Beautiful Wooden Arrows by Guy Taylor

I just love these new arrows Guy made. They are flu-flus. The ones in the front have 'banana' fletching. The ones in the back are the style he usually makes. They are a custom order and going to their new home now. So I grabbed a photo while I had the chance.

Ghost Cat

I named this cat Ghost.
He used to stroll through all the yards and drive my indoor cats crazy.
Eventually I realized I hadn't seen him in a long time,
and a lot of the other neighborhood cats disappeared as well.
So like a real ghost, he disappeared.

The Shoes That Sent Someone to Bulgaria

Our archery club had a raffle to pay for one of our members to go study archery in Bulgaria. So I bid $40 on these shoes for the raffle and won them. She usually sells them custom made for $70 so I feel like I got a great deal and made it possible for one of our members to go to Bulgaria to meet the archers there and work on bows and arrows. I don't know whose going yet. The club will draw names when they've raised enough money to buy the tickets.

When I glanced up and saw this cloud, it immediately reminded me of a snail.

Flick-Flash

A cool Flickr app for viewing 1000 thumbnails at once: http://masedesign.com/flick-flash/ I looked up jugglers and juggling for mine and got loads of great photos to enjoy. Drop in your favorite interests and see what pops up.

Bathing Suit Self Portrait

Crispy Foliage, Whispy Cloud

I took this on Sunday at the Arroyo Seco area of Pasadena, CA. This was the last bit of blue sky before a big rainstorm hit, so we were outdoors enjoying it.

Knapping with Johnnystone

Learning to knap with 'johnnystone'. What is johnnystone you say? The broken up porcelain from discarded toilet tanks.  It's not glamouros, but if you are going to destroy something in the learning process, wouldn't you rather ruin something cheap than a $20. piece of chert?
